Motif, Inc., a global BPO and KPO services provider, conducted a seminar on ‘Careers in the BPO Industry’ at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) on Saturday, August 4. Around 200 people, including students, fresh graduates and young professionals, attended the seminar. The seminar’s panel of speakers and the agenda of their sessions was as follows:
Mr. Rajiv Vaishnav, Vice President, NASSCOM, delivered the keynote address at the seminar, and discussed the growth of the BPO industry in India over the last decade. He also talked about the immense opportunities the industry provides young people for building their careers.
Mr. Jasmeet Singh, Head of the Contact Center Group, MakeMyTrip.com, provided the audience an insight into the growth of the E-commerce industry, and how the BPO industry was one of the biggest beneficiaries of this growth.

Motif participated in the 8th annual Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE) in Chicago, Illinois. IRCE is the world’s largest e-commerce event. This year`s conference focused on the urgent need for e-retailers to understand web shoppers – what they demand from online stores, and how best to reach and serve them.
Keeping in line with the event’s agenda, Motif shared how its services can enable online retailers to continuously enhance customer experience, resulting in improved NPS (Net Promoter Score), CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) and FTR (First Time Resolution). Online retailers, vendors and consultants present at the event showed keen interest in Motif’s multichannel customer support, online fraud prevention and back office support services.

Motif, a leading global BPO and KPO services provider, organizes many philanthropic events throughout the year, such as the Motif Charity Walk, Blood Donation Drive and Christmas Celebrations for the underprivileged. As part of these giving back to the community events, Motif organized its 10th Annual Blood Donation Drive on Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The event was held in collaboration with Prathama Blood Center at Motif’s India Center located at Ahmedabad.
101 Motif employees volunteered and donated blood this year. This contribution will potentially save more than 400 lives. Over the past 10 years, Motif has donated 800 units of blood to various socially active beneficiaries that has helped save more than 3,200 lives.

At the fifth GESIA Annual Awards, various companies of the state’s information and communication technology (ICT) industry were felicitated on Wednesday. The awards were given in 13 different categories. Last year, the ICT industry association received 52 nominations while this year, it had more than 100 nominations, of which 21 companies won awards and two recognitions in various categories.

After winning the Sabarmati Marathon and Vadodara Marathon, the Kenyans returned to do it again at the ‘10th Annual Motif Charity Walk’ in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The 10-kilometer run held as part of the Charity Walk was won by Kenneth Koros from Kenya who clocked 31 minutes. The first runner up in the category was Philip Bor, also from Kenya, who covered the 10 kilometers in 31 minutes and 13 seconds. While Kenneth Koros took part in the Vadodara Marathon this year to stand at twelfth position, Bor participated in the half marathon category of the Sabarmati Marathon and was ranked sixth.

Motif, Inc. organized its 10th annual charity walk to create health awareness. Speaking to DNA, COO and Co-founder of Motif, Parul Mehta said, “The reason why we held our charity walk has always been to create health awareness. We want people of different backgrounds to walk and run with us.”
Parul added: “Look at our city — it’s hot and happening now! With so many marathon events held, the citizens have understood the importance of these runs/walks. Ten years back, when we started, people were skeptical about registering for a marathon and running for a good cause in the early morning. But awareness has since changed and people are now eager to join such events.”

As the crowd thronged the starting point at the campus of Gujarat Technical University (GTU), musical bands continued to stimulate the already enthusiastic runners and cheering audience.
